A Fresh Start

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

My life has been so crazy lately! Actually the last year has just been one chaotic whirlwind. In January of 2011 I gave birth to my son, our second child. I gained so much weight with that pregnancy, way more than I did with our daughter. I had foolish expectations that it would all just melt off me in a month like it did with my first pregnancy. Obviously that didn't happen! I'm now weighing in at 150lbs. I have weighed more than 120 pounds in my entire life, and 120 was the biggest I've ever been. I'm starting to accept that I will never be a size 00 again, and maybe that is for the best. But I WILL get my weight down to where I feel comfortable and healthy. My goal is 125 pounds, and I'm working my hot buns off to make that happen! emoticon

Five months ago we started planning our wedding for THIS October! Let me tell you, October 6th has snuck up on me faster than I ever could have imagined. I had hoped to be down to 125 for the wedding, but that has proven harder than I expected. Two months ago we found the house of our dreams, and have since had an accepted offer and now it is a waiting game. We were pre-approved, and now there is some issues with the under writer. We have completely out grown our home and my husband has to commute 1 hour there and back to work every day. The new house is only 7 minutes away from his work! We are so anxious to get moved. We are praying our hearts out that everything works out okay.

This whole planning a wedding and buying a house at the SAME TIME is not a pleasant experience! I wouldn't recommend it to anyone! emoticon

On a brighter note, I have been going strong for a week now. {Minus the 4 oz of sirloin steak, and french fries I had for dinner last night emoticon } I have completely changed my eating habits, and I have been running 4 miles every day on the elliptical emoticon . Oh, and water is my best friend!! emoticon

It's mind blowing how much a difference exercise makes in my life. I have felt amazing this last week. When I exercise I feel like there is no mountain too high for me to climb. It improves all areas of my life. My mind feels strong, clear, and happy. My body is naturally craving healthy foods. I feel higher energy levels, and I actually want to do more! It's amazing! I might not be any skinner yet, but I feel amazing, and that's a win in itself. emoticon

Congrats on the changes. I hope that the wedding went well and the family is doing well.
It is truly amazing how exercise can make a difference in how a person feels; glad you have that.

Your year sounds almost like my year last year. Quit my job, got engaged, totalled my car, finished school, got a new job, moved to a new city, got married and graduated all in 11 months.
