BLC 20 Back to School Challenge

Well, you'd think I would be more excited about earning 150 points, but there is no smile in Mudville today.... too much trouble to get a photo, (someone to take it that is-) and after all, I was just not in a good place energetically. As it turns out, my employment contract ended on Friday. I once again find myself unemployed. Sigh. A little time is needed to regain my center and my smile. Apologies aside, here it is.

The BLC 20 plan:

I need to get back to my full daily water- it's been a challenge, because I have been busy, and not kept it in my focus. My plan is to start each day with 1/2 gallon of water in a bottle on the kitchen counter, and it must be empty before I go to bed (all other drinks during the day aside, this must be empty before bed!)

I need to get movement back into my days- as you can tell, I am out of the cast (still in a support), and my leg is still a bit marked up, but it is on the mend and I can work with it now. I can not walk easily up and down the stairs, or on uneven ground, but my plan involves work out dvd's with the kinect. I have found a good one, and I have planned it as part of the evening routine, since it is not an 'adrenaline boosting' workout. This will hopefully improve sleep as well for me.

Nutrition is pretty good for me usually. I eat healthy, snack mindfully, and only occasionally go overboard on sweets. My philosophy is to build them into my calories, so that if I want a piece of chocolate, I can have it without worry over the calorie count. Healthy-wise, I realize it is not the best choice, but sometimes, sanity or cravings win over healthy and I need to factor that in.

Sleep. Need to get more balance, and I am hoping that the gentle work out in the evening will help with that.

I have the bases covered, the plan is made. It is time to execute, and get this challenge moving!

    You got a lot more out of that contract than you had bargained for. I thought maybe they would keep you for ever. I saw a report on the sharks in the north Atlantic over labor day and thought of you and Talon.

    It sounds like you and I are both out of sorts lately. We must fix that! You'll never know how much I have appreciated your posts on my page these last few months! Sorry it's taken so long to say thank you.

    I agree with your philosophy on chocolate ~ build in to your daily calories! Exactly. It's all about moderation.
