I'm back.......

Wednesday, September 19, 2012

Wow - it's been too darn long....and so much has happened....

I guess you could say I fell off of the wagon right around the time I ran my first half marathon last October.....CRAZY, right - run 13.1 miles and then quit....but that's what happened.

We added Krunch to our family right around then, actually the day before, and I couldn't bear to leave my little puppy so I could do something for me. BAD excuse.

Then the cold weather hit - and I usually hit the treadmill - but this past Winter we used a wood stove in the basement where our mill is and let's just say - 85-90 dry wood heat temps and a treadmill - NOPE - BAD idea......

Then the weather got good - and I could have started again - but no - we put our house on the market, sold it in 9 days and I had to start packing and moving. That basically took from April to July, and so here I am......2 months post move and READY.

I haven't run or worried about food at all - so I am happy that the scale is only where it is - but now it is back to taking care of me.....

I started last week by treating myself to a gym membership - due to the fact that my mill is folded in half and in storage until some things with the house get fixed (a whole other blog for another day) and I know that I need to add weights to my routine for better results....

I met with a trainer - we put together a program and I am determined to stick with it. I am using Spark as a great resource for ideas on my weights and using all of the various cardio machines other than the mill for cardio. I am also running on my non gym days or days I go to the gym at night when my boys are at baseball....

So - 4 days to the gym and a run, sticking to the calories and drinking my water and taking my vitamin....

Here's to getting back on track!

I thought I might have a great running partner in Krunch but he is a giant whimp and won't go further than a half mile from home without wanting (pulling) home - so we walk about a mile every morning in addition to my own routine....YEAH.

Sometimes life just takes over and drags us around by our nose! Happens to all of us, but glad you're back! Did I miss pics of the new puppy? Love to see some!

The 10 lb challenge is what I needed, too! I'm down 2 so only 8 more to go - I'm so excited! emoticon
How did your weigh in go?
I can't believe your little piece of cheesecake has lasted....like 4 days or whatever. That's a long time! I'm impressed!
I thought I could run with Boomer, too, but he doesn't like leaving our neighborhood. The traffic on the big road scares him.

    emoticon back!

That kind of happened to me after running and training for my half. I trained so much that I was drained. Now I have been running just to run for the fun of it and not training for races. It has made me much happier!

Glad to see you back though. And congrats on the move and the new puppy. I bet he makes a great walking partner!
