the hard part

Tuesday, December 04, 2012

I've not felt like sharing I guess, which is why I haven't posted in a while, that or I'm just plain tired. I've got my 40 hr a week job plus my art teaching job and then all the hours it takes to prepare for the art classes and I often prepare for my two story times for the library at home. Sparking also takes a fair amount of time and so not much is getting done at home, not even reading which is one of my major passions. BUT! I must get a grip because I don't want to NOT do ANY of those things, especially SparkPeople. I HAVE to do this, I MUST do this! Things are getting hard now, the weight is not dropping off as easily as it was before but I WILL NOT quit.

I have made a tiny bit of progress and I'm now down to 242.6, and that is real close to 28 pounds. I think I got complacent because I went down pretty fast at first and I was sure I could keep that up. Now I know the hard part is starting and I'm afraid.

Keep pushing. Keep getting up again. It does get hard. But if you keep pushing and moving forward, you're going to do it.

I agree with Hippichick. The post-honeymoon phase is when the real work begins. Any change is challenging, but if you're consistent, patient and above all stay the course, you will suceed. And we are all here to help and cheer you on. emoticon

Aaah, the honeymoon period of weight loss. It's fabulous and then it gets hard. We all go through it.
This is a lifestyle change for life and it means being prepared and being devoted to yourself and loving your body no matter what size it is. I think approaching it with love is the real answer.
