Ginger tea and God's great sense of humor ...

Saturday, January 19, 2013

I woke up with an inquiring mind. I know that God put everything on this earth to work for the good. Soooo, I thought what about the herbs and stuff he threw at us. I pulled up a few herbal and natural remedy sites, and found out that there is a lot of great natural stuff I can add to my daily life, that may support getting my cholesterol evened out. And some of it even helps with by bad knees. One of the wonderful things I read is how healthy the teas are I already love. Green, black, white tea. Oh my. So I will keep drinking those. Bonus points for me. And then I read how wonderful fresh Ginger tea is to reduce inflammation and helping to reduce high cholesterol levels. I happen to always keep fresh gingerroot around for recipes. So I boiled chopped ginger in water to make a lovely pot of ginger tea. T'is yummy and healthy. I think God has a great sense of humor since He already provided an out for me. Typical I would be the last to know, lol.

Thanks for the hot meal offer, but I'm in central Indiana, so it's probably not gonna work out. Thanks for the goodie! You are so sweet. I appreciate all the kind encouragement I've gotten. I'm surprised nobody has scolded me for not preparing properly for this. Thanks again, sweetie!

I love loose black teas like English and Irish Breakfast tea, Darjeeling, Russian blend, then I enjoy any kind of green tea and white tea, also loose. Rooibos is a tea I never really liked but am willing to try again. I liked some blends it was in. Then just a bit ago, I bought something called Honeybush Vanilla tea. It is really good, a little on the sweet side, almost looks like Rooibos tea. I don't care for fruit teas, because I find they have too much acid.

I LOVE ginger (fresh) and will have to try that.
So what is your favorite tea? Of course here we have so many types to choose from - many I had no idea about. I love rooibos and today I was drinking orange ginger. I don't taste the ginger that much though, so would like to try it the way you made it. emoticon
