Farm Fresh to You = LOVE

I thought “Organic” was just a buzz word. Until I cut open my first organic lemon…
The smell wafted up to my nose – so strong that I immediately called my husband in to have him smell it. Then we tried some lemon wedges in our drink – splendid! Then we tried them with salmon and dill – superb! Well, I was sold. Organic, straight from the farm is the way to go.
This lemon came from a new service I’m trying out: FarmFreshToYou.
It’s basically fresh produce straight from the farm, delivered to your doorstep. They deliver every Tuesday in our area, and every Tuesday morning is a bit like Christmas morning. My eyes pop open and I head for the front door. What has Farmer Santa brought me today??
I take the box inside, and open it to see what fruit and veggie recipes I will be experimenting with this week!
The first week I got beets and fresh spinach. Never had beets before. I made this recipe:
Roasted Beet, Spinach and Walnut Salad
Amazing! Turns out I like beets a lot. And that fresh-picked spinach? Bursting with flavor!
So let’s see what Farmer Santa delivered this week:
Yummy! Looks like I will be experimenting with Kale and artichokes.
Bunny loves the fact that the carrots come complete with carrot tops. Guess who gets to eat those?
