Ambushed by Cravings

Luckily it's late enough at night that there's no way to get what I really want lol.
I didn't feel like I was consciously working on eating clean this week, but it just kinda happened! With the exception of some coffee (I just had to try that new Starbucks Hazelnut Macchiato-- nonfat!) & some water flavoring. Honestly, I think it was the fact that I made 2 types of soup this week! & the rest of the week's meals were simple meat & veggie fare.
I've also become more acquainted with another mom at the Y, thru Body Pump (we both wanna get certified) & found that our fitness goals are quite similar. & she turned me on to the Facebook page called Ripped Goddess, so all these motivational pics & posters have been popping up in my newsfeed. I'm sure this all has been in the back of my brain as well.
My point is that I didn't necessarily plan to eat so well & I'm high-fiving myself! Didn't even have any cravings until tonight. Not even with my mom's homemade cookies in the cupboard.
It started with a big poster-sized ad at the grocery store for corned beef. I ADORE corned beef sandwiches!!! Didn't bug me then while we were shopping. Then I was tinkering around on the Spark site, trying to make sure that my calorie levels are in line with my goals & activity level, because even tho I'd been on the low end most of the week without even trying, I am just super hungry tonight! (That search didn't go well, I only found how to alter my range manually.) of course I decided to google it next. One from Women's Health had me at about 2100 for active days & 1700 for rest days. Um, what?! Another I think had me around 1600. My current range thru Spark is 1200-1550. This should not be this confusing, ugh!
So, I haven't felt deprived or hungry all week, then all this thinking about calories, & I suddenly get walloped in the head by the desire for a Reuben. Or tiramisu. But mostly that Reuben. & I'm still hungry, even tho I'm in range. Good thing my desire for one is beaten by my laziness in not wanting to actually go out & get it! Ha!
Anywho, if I still REALLY want one tomorrow, I'll get one & put myself to the ultimate test (for me, anyway) & take half & wrap the other & immediately stash the wrapped half.
& that's my late-night craving story! Now to get some sleep so I can be up & at 'em for Body Pump. Hope everyone has a great weekend!!
