Well, I haven't been very active lately on SP because frankly I've felt like crap. I just got done having 2 of 3 allergy panels (the foods ones, still have plants, molds and animals to go) and it explained a LOT.

I'm allergic to wheat, corn, milk, yeast, potato, pork and coffee (all of, in all forms).

That means I'm allergic to... well, pretty much everything except fresh fruit, veg and beef, chicken, turkey, fish, shellfish and lamb. (That I eat.)

Which explains (or could be the cause of at least) my asthma! (who knew?); depression; bipolar disorder; roscasia; arthritis; fibromyalgia; chronic sinus infection; chronic bronchitis; pcos; neuropathy; sleep issues; night sweats; carb craving; chronic fatigue; general malaise; aches and pains; carpel tunnel; gerd; IBS; etc etc etc.

No more cheese, butter, bacon, cream, coffee {sob!} nada. And pretty much no eating out at all cause I can't think of anything that doesn't contain or isn't cooked with one of these things.

Hopefully my giving up all these things will result in feeling a LOT better and being able to FINALLY lose weight.

I am glad you found out your problem. Believe me, I understand because I am allergic to gluten--wheat, barley, rye. I am also allergic to all shellfish and fish, beets,
spinach (which I used to love) and several other foods.

You will feel much better when you are not eating the foods you are allergic to.

I think wheat, corn and potatoes aren't as hard to give up as you would think. I think the hardest thing for me to give up would be the dairy and coffee. Are you allergic to all forms of dairy or just anything made with cow's milk? Good luck but I know you can do it! emoticon

Wow. That is quite a list. I would freak on everything but the coffee. I have though about doing one of these tests too.

Wheat, corn, and potato might be easier for you to do without than you would think. Even ipeople who are NOT allergic to them generally feel better within days of quitting them. Dairy would be tough for me, and coffee even tougher! If you're allergic to milk is that only cow's milk? Perhaps there are other types available that will work for you.

I too have reaction to the foods you mentioned, due to my IBD, Inflammed bowel disease, I too have fibromylagia and they said its common for people who have that to have issues with their bowel too. It isn't easy but we will get through it.!
