My annual checkup happened in December 0f 2012. The doctor had not-so-good news. I was teetering on prediabetes and my future most certainly contained diabetes medication. I am not, at all, one who likes to pop pills-even taking a vitamin took some getting used to.
My doctor has been patient with me, telling me over & over that I need to make some changes in my diet & exercise, and to come back in three months for another checkup. I decided that this was it. I wanted to lose 10% of my body weight before my next appointment.
This past Thursday, on weigh-day, I was thrilled to find out that I accomplished my 1st goal. I lost 27 pounds in 10 weeks. Ten percent of my body weight has vanished.
I am actually looking forward to my next appointment!
