There's No Place Like Home

Well, unfortunately, Week 4 of Stage 2 wasn't so stellar for me. Being away from home completely threw me off. Between flying, switching from Central to Eastern time, having a crazy two days of intense meetings, and eating out every meal, I went way over my calorie goals and under my exercise goals. I was still exhausted yesterday, and I broke my 10-minute exercise streak.
I will give myself credit by saying that I did much better than I would have on the same trip a few months ago, so as much as I've felt deflated, it was not a total failure. I did get in one solid workout in the hotel fitness center, and I got in my 5 fruits and veggies every day. Flying back, I walked from Concourse A to D in the Atlanta airport instead of taking the train or even the walkways, which added 20 minutes of exercise to my day.
At this point, I am making a concerted effort to not let this week demotivate me. Even though I gained about 4 pounds, most of it is probably just water weight that will come off quickly (I've already lost a pound of it) I am still way ahead of the game! Especially since my next short-term goal was a pound a week until my birthday, I can easily make up for this in time to see the 180's by the time I turn 30.
An article that has really helped me this week has been "1 Step Back, 2 Steps Forward."
Today is beautiful day, and I plan on taking advantage of it! As soon as the baby is up from his nap, we are headed to the park for a nice walk. I am SO close to 1000 fitness minutes for March, and I fully plan on knocking out that goal today. 2 steps forward!
