Nice one! We do reward with food, but it's more about the experience (dining out) than about cheating off our plan. I do need to bear in mind more that it's about the experience, though, so I stay on track and don't have 3 days recovery time all the time after reward day! Thanks for the reminder and the chuckle!
that sure hit home for me....I have been battling most of the day to stay away from food.. I just have days where I just want to eat....I decided to do some sparking before I allowed myself a treat.....lol..thanks for a giant wake up call..you are right I am not a dog and I don't need a treat of food....I'm going to take a nice hot shower and do my hair, my reward this week was a new hair product....now that's a reward not a treat. and one I can show off and not feel guilty about....
Wow Georgia! Your background took me by surprise and then the reward graphic really hit home. Something to really think about. And take to heart. Especially if you have dogs and see how a treat is so exciting for them. Good for them but... I am not a dog :) Thanks for sharing that. 2987 days ago
Wow...that puts it in perspective! And in 12 step programs they always say you should think the (drink, drug, food) THROUGH. Don't imagine how good the drink will be- think it through to how you'll feel the next morning and what consequences you'll be living with. That is always helpful to me, too. (not that I always do it!) 2987 days ago
