Thanks, guys!

Sunday, May 12, 2013

I found out last Thursday that I have a stress fracture in my foot. Now, THAT explains all the pain I've been experiencing! Just when I was getting into a routine at the gym, and just when I was able to keep up in spin class, the doctor ordered no cardio for 3 weeks. Bummer.
So after a period of remorse, I decided that I must accept this as part of the journey, that pitfalls will happen, and that I need to embrace this injury as a challenge and grow from it.
So for now I guess I will focus on ab work and upper body strength.
I am determined to at least maintain my current weight, and when the doctor clears me to resume cardio, I will pick up where I left off.
Thanks to all my SparkFriends who have been supporting me!

I know it sucks to break a streak/routine, especially when it's out of your control. But, forces out of our control happen everyday, so just try to make the best of it. A really good time to focus on food and nutrition (which I always believe to be more important to weight loss anyway).
