One month until the big 3-0!

I am less than a month away from my 30! & the sun is shining, so it's a great time to update! Not to mention that all but one of the kids are at school, so I've only got one child to distract me.
Well, this week has started Phase 3 of the Live Fit program. Phase 2 wasn't really too scary, just lifting, sometimes playing with the number of sets/reps, & 30 mins of elliptical on non-leg days. Phase 3 seems to be a whole new beast! Last night was legs, & that wasn't bad. There were more supersets & active rests (jumping rope instead of just resting for a min before the next set). I was feeling pretty confident that the hubs & I could handle this no problem.

I should've known better. My friend who did it last spring warned me about Phase 3. We were getting the kiddos ready for bed last night when my hubby suddenly pipes up, "Have you seen tomorrow's workout??"

30-second sprints on treadmill; Level 8; 30 seconds on/30 off; 30 minutes total

I'll be doing this with the hubs tonight, so I won't be moving completely non-stop, but it's gonna be pretty close! & then 30 mins of 30secs on/ 30secs off sprints! Not gonna lie, feeling pretty intimidated right about now!
But it's gorgeous out today, so hopefully the Y won't be too crazy & we'll be able to get this knocked out without having to wait around too much. Those sprints have be freaked out tho!

In my mission of 130 by 30, I'm still about 10-15lbs away, but that's my fault for not sticking too closely to the nutrition. Meh. The scale may not be moving much, but the inches have been coming off bit-by-bit & revealing more muscle! Still got that layer of "fluff" but I'm confident that it'll make it's way off too. Calorie-wise, the plan wants me between 1450-1750, which seems high compared to my Spark tracker, which has me in the 1200-1550 range. But, hey, I'm gonna go a little bit higher & see if that's what my body needs to let go of some more body fat.

Also some exciting news!!! I'm gonna be getting certified as a Body Pump instructor! The training is the first weekend in June, so I should be getting my prep materials any day now! Hopefully after that I can get AAFA certification & start teaching group fitness classes!

Anywho! the wee diva is getting restless & I need to make us some snacks to take to the park after we pick up the mister man from preschool.
