Time to get back to business

Things have been hectic, but now the wedding and all is over, so it's time to get things going again. I have been doing great. I joined a fitness group and we had a 90 day challenge - I lost 16 INCHES during that challenge. Woohoo!!!! Fit into my dress and even had to have it taken in a little bit - yay!!!!
BUT, now I need the scale to go down a little. I still have a ways to go before I hit my goal. Right now I am aiming for 50 pounds and then we will go from there. So, I am running again and I have a schedule down for training for my first half marathon!!!!! The race is on September 15th, so I have a 16 week training schedule which starts the last week of May. I will be running 4 days a week, with one long run on Sundays, and then continuing with my fitness group boot camps 2 days a week. Plus, part of the reason I even signed up for the half marathon was the great group of people I met in the fitness group who will also be running it, so it's not like I'm only going to see them twice a week - just two classes. =) Also have a couple of 5Ks thrown in there - one in June and one in July - and maybe I'll find something for August too. We'll see.
I've been working on clean eating, which is yet another benefit of my new fitness group. Learning more about nutrition and clean eating. I'll admit it's tough and I'm doing OK with it, but I know I could be better. BUT, once again, these changes need to be things that I can do for life and I don't know if a 100% clean diet is something I can do forever. SO, it's more like 70% or so for now. Trying to work up to about 80% just to cut out more of the sugar stuff I slip in there sometimes. It's a work in progress.
But I have a plan again and I'm going to try to be back on spark more now. My plan is to start tracking things again on Monday, since my routine has been all messed up and Monday will be back to my routine so things will be more structured.

    Congratulations on losing the inches and not only fitting into your dress, but taking it in a nip! I hope you had a wonderful time on your honeymoon.I'm really inspired by your plan to run a half marathon! Have fun with your new group of training buddies! emoticon

    Hey! Congratulations on your wedding! And 16 inches gone, running, being part of what sounds like an amazing group... And the clean eating(i am in week two going on three). Even though you've been away awhile, you've been active and working towards your goals, so be proud!! emoticon emoticon

    You are an inspiration to me. After my wedding 2 years ago, I didn't get back on track. Sure wish I had done it then! Now is the best I can do though. Thanks for letting us share in your progress and keep up the good work!
