Planning a Great Week

Yesterday was a rest day so I only did my "5K 101" intervals. I spent the day lollygagging in the air conditioning, watching cooking shows on Amazon Prime (not the smartest move)! I ate at the high end of my calorie range and had a high-sodium dinner, so I didn't show a loss his morning from my ticker weight.


I know that if I stick to the core principles the body will respond. So this week I'm primed to make it a great week with a real weight loss.

emoticon I will attend the fitness center each weekday morning and do my best to do 7 classes. (Back-to-back classes on Monday and Friday.)

emoticon I will do two more days of the "5K 101" program.

emoticon I will record EVERYTHING. (MAJOR fail here on days I overeat or PERCEIVE I overeat. And not recording seems to promote MORE overeating.)

emoticon I will not drink any alcohol. (Alcohol adds empty calories and turns the eating plan into a train wreck.)

emoticon I will cogitate about my goals and what I need to do to achieve them. I will remember that eating is NOT an emergency, that my next planned meal is only a few short hours away and waiting will allow me to savor and enjoy it that much more!

emoticon I will do my best to get in 15,000 steps a day. Cooking, doing housework, putting things away adds steps without a lot of exertion. Every minute off my bum burns more calories than sitting on it!

So that's the plan this week for me. Two weeks from today we leave for Colorado. Every pound I lose, every ounce of muscle I build, will make hiking at those high altitudes sooo much easier.
