Routine Shake-up

Hello Spark Friends!!
I just want to start by saying Thank You to everyone that sent me kind words after I posted about the sudden death of my good friend. You have no idea how each message helped! Spark Friends are AWESOME! emoticon

Due to my work schedule changing and my daughter being off of school for the summer, my workout schedule has been shaken-up this last month. I'm still trying to settle into the new position and schedule at work. I've been getting to the gym as much as possible, but I've found other ways to stay active.
Usually on Saturday mornings, I do a step aerobics class at the gym. This morning, when I got to the gym, I just felt like doing something different. So, I downloaded a podcast from my favorite sports radio host and hit the treadmill. I completed a 20 minute interval workout that went from a 0 incline to a 5% incline and from 2.5 mph to 4.5 mph. It was great!! After that, I hit the mats for some core work with a weight ball. I finished up with so weight lifting. I definitely would have done more, but had to get home to get ready for work. Tonight, my legs feel sore (in a good way, not hurting) that tells me I worked some under used muscles this morning. I think I'm going to do this more often. That way, I'll mix up the gym routine and won be locked into only going when there is a class.
Sometimes a shake-up is a good thing!
