Pushing through the Pain....

Saturday, October 05, 2013

I realized that our journey here on Spark People is like what I am going through with my health issues. We have to "push through the pain" to get to our goals! The only way that I am going to get better is if I push myself to eat a little more each day! Eventually I will be able to eat healthy again and I will feel stronger!
With SP, we have to do the same thing! We have to push past our fears and "hungers" and move toward feeling healthy and strong! Most of it is mental! Our attitudes and thoughts are what get in our way! A lot of us go through "emotional eating", eating for comfort or to deal with pain. Again, the only way to deal with this is to take "one step at a time, one day at a time! Each step forward brings us closer to our goal! WE CAN DO THIS! We just need to remember what is important and keep focused on the goal!

Each day I am feeling a little better. I can push through the pain!

I agree 100%. If you don't push thru, the pain gets the better of you. THE PAIN WINS. The pain got the best of my husband. He started to eat and eat. Now I have my own health problems and decided to change the rules of the game. I joined Spark People again. this time I am doing something with what I am learning. Thank you.
