I am getting FED UP with writing Spark mails & posts that take me a LONG TIME to TYPE, only to have them come back to me with the message:
There is NO FOUL LANGUAGE in these posts, so WHAT IS THE PROBLEM???????
This has JUST started to happen recently.
I have been on SP for over 5 yrs & NEVER had this problem; & my posts are the same general content.

Actually, is is about the use of punctuation. It will not take some of them and all you need to do is remove the characters...really.

To shed some light, html, as others have posted, that comment is not about whether you are using foul language or not, it is one way that the site understands what you wish it to do - ie. make a picture, underline, make a link, etc.

Some characters that we may wish to use (an asterix, greater than or less than symbol, etc.), are used in html, so the site gets confused, and doesn't know what you wish it to do.

I run into this problem when I try to post the * in my emails. It thinks I want it to do something other than post a *.

(I'll see if it lets me post this comment, with those in there, or not)

When you get the message, go back to your message and see if you have put any symbols like stars, greater or less than symbols, etc.

    Hope that helps!

HTML is not about language. It has to do with off site pictures etc. contact a team leader about this problem.

I've noticed it a couple of times with emoticons, so I'd delete the emoticon and re-select it again and then it works, don't know why. It was unnerving to say the least, since like you, I knew I wasn't using foul language etc.

    Here's the definition of html

"Hypertext Markup Language, a standardized system for tagging text files to achieve font, color, graphic, and hyperlink effects on World Wide Web pages."

I could be way off base, as I'm not that computer savvy, but make sure you aren't using any computer language code like "greater than" symbols, etc.

Yes, and to say it's annoying is a HUGE understatement. It is usually when a character is used rather than an word. For example, using the greater than or less than symbol always results in that message. Go figure!
