I had to change my stats from 64.8 lbs off this month to 62.8; making it 7 lbs off instead of the 9; however, I'm still striving to surrender this area of my life [to the Lord] and so, I'm NOT too bummed by it, because I know.. emoticon

Does anyone else [though] feel like I do, that it's more embarrassing to share here on SP [my] failures, than to actually live them? I mean, we all have to get back up on the horse sometime [if and when we fall off] .. Frankly, we should find it a very small thing to be judged of others & yet I do find myself caring what people think when they see me post the wrong foods [for my food menu is set to public to hold myself accountable] and the weight tracker as well; however, it opens the door to critic's. emoticon emoticon

However, it's not about them, it's about my journey [our journey] and about getting closer to God. I'm doing this online Bible Study called "Made To Crave" and I thought I'd share this quote & comment I posted: "This is more than about what the scale says, it really is about drawing closer to God and obeying Him. Like the author say’s, "OUR ULTIMATE VICTORY ISN'T FOUND IN GETTING EVERYTHING RIGHT BUT IN FINDING AND DRAWING CLOSER TO OUR FATHER. IN-SOUL CONNECTING WITH GOD! In hearing His heartbeat when we get out of bed and hearing His words cheer us on when we feel like we can’t take another step. Because it really is all about HIM."

I want more of HIM and less of me, and while I'm Seeking Him and His WAY, I hope to shrink and lose this weight, but I "will have" good days and bad because I'm not LIVING to eat, but "eating to live" and that means I don't want to always be focused on FOOD. Thin for Him is however far HE takes me on this journey and my obedience to Him. Some may like this BLOG and some may not.. but, this is my journey and I'm MAKING it ABOUT HIM, with Him and the nice friends that HE has given me on SP!!!

Friends, I want to edify and encourage you and cast YOU up to my heavenly Father "who knows your every need as well"!!! I am praying for you ladies [and gentlemen too] who God has placed in my path.. together we can do it GOD'S WAY!

Lynn, what a beautiful testimony. He is still working on each of us to become the best we can be. His love and grace is so great.

You are among friends. We have all fallen short at times. The good news is not giving up.

Lynn: Not sure why I'm just now reading this blog, but it is very good, don't ever be afraid of writing your true feelings, I have left my tracker open also, the problem is, I very seldom get to track all my food, I usually get in breakfast and not get back to it. I use the quick tracker a lot. Thank You for being my friend.

You are amazing! I don't let my food tracker to be open because I don't need someone telling me 'you really shouldn't have eaten that' LOL. Do people do that? It just seems that for every 100 supporters on spark, there is one weasel... but I wanted to say you are braver than me. But posting our failures, and to be honest yours isn't a failure just a bump in the road... those 2 pounds will be gone in a flash... it keeps us honest and accountable and makes you that much more inspiring. It shows that you are human and that you have bumps in the road and we all do. So great job on the 7 pounds lost this month, you are amazing and tell those 2 pounds not to get comfy because they are out of here in February! emoticon emoticon

Lynn...you need to stop thinking with the mindset of 'wrong foods'. We are not on a 'diet'...this is a LIFE CHANGE and we need to live each day in a way that will be possible to live the rest of our lives.

I eat whatever I want...yes, even - candy, cookies, ice cream...as long as it fits into my calories (and I've had enough carbs, fats and proteins). If I'm going to live the rest of my life in this LIFE CHANGE mindset, I can't deprive myself of anything...I just have to limit myself. AND...I can only do that with God's help.

We are all human, so we all have setbacks. The best thing is to take each day as a gift from God, and go on from there.

You are right. It is difficult to fess up and accept responsible for slips. However, by doing so it sets us free to move on.

This is much like confessing to our Father. He knows already. It is for our own benefit. It restores the relationship.

It's so much easier to share our successes than our slips. It's easiest to speak to The Lord with my love and my needs rather than with honesty about my transgressions and ask for His forgiveness.
Surrender takes a full lifetime because there is always something more to surrender.

This morning I found this motivational quote:

"Don't stop trying just because you hit a wall. Progress is progress, no matter how small."

Believe it or not, you have embraced many healthy habits, and that is improvement.
