100DWL: Day 10

I think I missed a day in the journal yesterday, but Day 10 is also about how other people can compliment you and think up an affirming response for them.

If someone notices, I usually say, "Thank you so much! This is really hard for me, but I love sparkpeople and it really works for me."

Yesterday I had a lot of work to do at my desk...dinner rolled around and still no fitness minutes AND I was behind on water, because I worked all morning with no water intake. Soooo, I threw some chicken cutlets in the oven and raced downstairs to do 10 minutes on the treadmill. Snuck in a few strength exercises throughout the day. I think the key is getting rid of the mindset that I have to do long stints of cardio. Every day, I can find ten minutes to do SOMETHING for myself.

So, it involved converting an old negative thought of "I am out of time, I can't find 45 minutes to exercise, too much left to do today." into "I will take a ten minute break and at least burn 100 calories if I can."

Day 4: 190.0
Day 5: 189.8
Day 6: 190.4 WHAT????????
Day 9: after a business travel hiatus from the program: 190. Back in the game, folks.
Day10: 189.0 That's happy news!

    Jo, That's what I've been trying to do if I can't get a long stint of cardio in. In fact some days I might get 50 minutes of cardio but it's in 10 to 15 minute stints!
