HM training notes - Monday, windy 4 miler

Monday, March 17, 2014

This weekend suckered me into thinking that spring was here and the weather was going to stay warm and beautiful. Today was a very chilly, windy run (which I'll use as my excuse for low pace time). Like last week, I'm subbing most of the week, so I really had to get in a good run today. Tomorrow, I plan to run another 4 or 5 miler, then the rest of the week will be tough...

In addition to my run, I started a new kettlebell challenge today that has left my legs feeling like hamburger (http://kettlebellsworkouts.co
nge-2/ if you're interested). It'll be interesting to see how I feel for tomorrow's run - hopefully, I didn't overdo it today.

Today's run stats: 4.29 miles in 47:31 with an 11:05 pace and a 374 ft climb

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!! emoticon

    Hi Vicki,

Thank you for that link. I was curious. The link takes me to the website, but the actual challenge comes up as a 'page not found'. It's okay though... I just hit the 30 day challenge tab on the website. I see it starts today! I better get in and get busy! I hope my knees can take it. If not, I'll just do the best I can. There's a lot of information on this site for a newbie like me.

I just started doing the 30 day plank challenge and I like it. I think the challenges are good for me.

I know that wind was really crazy last night and this morning. My hat's off to you to run in that.

Have a great St. Patrick's Day... or I should say evening.

We got suckered too, lol. Saturday had the harleys out for a ride, Saturday night it was snowing. The good news is only 3 more days till spring.
