I learned...

Friday, March 28, 2014

I have learned many things, but the thing that I have learned most recently that has been a game changer is this: Stay away from the "crunchy" isle in Whole Foods. You know the one I'm talking about. It's the isle that has these pretty little bags with lettering all over them. They say things like "whole grain," "baked not fried," "50% less fat," and the list just goes on and on.

The bags are small but they contain about 5 servings. Well, I'm here to tell you, once I start there's just no stopping. I don't care how whole grainy, baked, and with less fat they are. When you eat the whole bag at one time, they are very, very bad for you.

So, now I spend a little more time in the fruit and veggie section. I also make sure I have nuts in the house. I don't ever over-indulge on them and they are so good for you. So, if I need a little something, I'll grab a few and chew slowly.

For me, the crunchy isle no longer exists. One day, as I look in the mirror and see my skinny self, I'll be nodding my head and thinking, "yep, this is way better than a bag of crunchies any day!"

The crunchy aisle, I know it well. I'm still dealing with it on a limited basis. But you have to be sooooooo careful and it's easy to slip. Your way sounds smarter. Feel a very good vibe coming from you. Love it....!

yes you are so right, we want to end up like a slender stalk of celery!! Not some puffed out mushroom stomach from the pretty bags of junk in them that advertisers try to lure us into the crunches of their highly glossy decorated gimmick bags!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought a Nutri Blast from Amazon, & I find myself eating or shall I say drinking more fruits. I love it. I want so bad to start walking outside ,would you believe right now and right into tomorrow afternoon we are having an ice and snow storm. I live in North Eastern Pa. We have had so much bad weather since November. I think the whole nation has and is going through so much weather wise. I feel so bad for those in Washington State my prayers are with them.
I am seriously finding my self also measuring and weighing my food which is also helping . I will be weighing in tomorrow to see if i lost a pound. Why on earth I allowed myself to get like this is beyond me. Hang in their & have a most blessed week!!
