Waiting for that miraculous weight loss

I have stayed within 5-15 lb of this weight for 30 years. Two years ago I retired and joined curves. I lost 20 pounds/30 inches on their complete diet program. I have always exercised and been active but I have been "sitting on the fence" since then. I always said that if I stopped all "liquid" calories I would be thin.
Since I retired those cocktails became an almost daily occasion, food and drink front and center in my circle of friends. So I decided to give them up for Lent. To me this would be a no brianer, a win win situation... do something good for your soul and your body. Well Easter is Sunday, Lent will be over and to my chagrin I only lost 3 pounds!!! Really???
What an eye opener. I had to get real, so I started tracking everything that I put in my mouth and yes those bites here and tastes of this and that all add up. So now I am recommitted and refocused. I shall exercise with vigor and track with diligence to finally lose this weight in 2014. Today is day 2 of my new spark streak
