Getting back on track...

Monday, May 12, 2014

I know I have slipped up. Sometimes it is just me being lazy or stupid. I have a friend at work that once said something to me that has had me thinking. I was doing a challenge and I said I can't eat like that because the scale will show it. I don't want to hurt my team. She said well it is an online team. They don't need to know. You can lie about the scale. I was shocked that she would say such a thing. That can set me up for going off track. So I know listen to what people have to say and make my own decisions.

That is one way I can get off track. I have to know that I Have ultimate control over what I do for me and my teams.

I evaluate why I am not exercising. Is it an excuse, boredom or actually my body needs a rest. Am I just being lazy. I then try something new or look for something new to do.

If I decide to eat unhealthy I figure out why. Is it because of my feelings, am I bored or am I really hungry. Is the food that I want to eat in my calorie range. I don't make food off limits I just make sure it is something I can fit into my meal plans.

I will turn to Spark to get myself back on track. Make sure I track my food. If I don't I will go off track. Tacking food is the most useful thing to do on Spark.

Those are my strategies for when I get off track on my lifestyle change.

Nicely said! Do you ever give yourself a free day? Like, you know you're going to be going out for your birthday and you just want the high calorie dinner and dessert? Or do you not allow that?
