On being healthy

I am determined, today, to eat healthy. I would like to spend the rest of my days not fixated on looking thin and good, but on my state of health. I have been ignoring the fact that the older I get the more my body has deteriorated. High cholesterol, arthritis, thyroid disease and by now diabetes is starting to weigh me down. As well as added lbs over the years. So, now my newest craze is smoothies. It's really quite fun and I'm trying to make them with healthy fats and nutritious ingredients. I've also decided to not weigh myself every day anymore. I find that when I start concentrating on eating less and commit myself to loosing weight, that I start obsessing and weigh my self every day. Sometimes more! So starting today, I will wake up and say to myself. Today I will eat healthy food. Real food. Food that was once alive. I will have my smoothies everyday and eat till satisfied. I will walk everyday. I will limit my drinking. I will start to feel better soon.
