I could not be prouder of my results in BLC 26. In looking back at my plan of action, I now know that it works. Eating low carb, exercising daily, and striving to eat intuitively, listening to my hunger, WORKED.
I am thinner, stronger, more flexible, down a size, and have more stamina. I am completely amazed that I got through a major holiday, Thanksgiving, and lost weight. Who woulda thunk it? Being reasonable, eating low carb, knowing when to limit sugar, striving for balance by recovering from an eating day with a low carb day and more exercise ALL WORKED. Now, I know the secret.
I didn't insist or get perfection and perhaps, that is the biggest lesson I learned. Life is about consistency, persistence, and tweaking what works and what does not and then readjusting my behavior. It truly is a journey. A journey that I love actually. The work is hard, but it is very rewarding and even more important:
IT IS VITAL THAT I STRIVE TO BE AS HEALTHY AS POSSIBLE IN THIS PHASE OF MY LIFE.
Could I have done this without the interaction of BLC? Honestly, probably not. I must be realistic about how motivating joining a team, publicly making a plan, commitment to action and then sharing daily my experiences is. The added responsibility to others, not only to myself, is a key ingredient in my success. The challenges gave me specific things to do to keep me moving and improving my stamina and strength.
I have learned so much from my Azurita sistahs and my One for All teamies. Their unconditional support and encouragement lifted me on the days when I was down and propelled me forward. The laughs, the tears, the sharing of their stories touched my heart.
Will I be back for BLC 27?
YES, and I recommend that you join me. Together we can control our own demons while having good times.
