Progress Pictures, week #1 (gulp)

Tuesday, December 09, 2014

I've been circling around the same 3-4 lbs for the last couple of weeks. I know I need to kick it up a notch, and I need that extra bit of accountability to push me to work out and eat healthy, even when I don't feel like it. I am the kind of person who will sometimes "reward" themselves for losing weight with food. I mean, hey, I'm obviously doing a great job, so why not get those french fries?! emoticon

So, I am going to be taking weekly progress photos from now on. Same outfit each week, to make sure they are consistent. As scary as it is now to post these, I am looking forward to comparing the photos and seeing the changes in my body.

So, here is week #1! I am 5'4", hovering at around 168 lbs. Please excuse the mess (and the dog that snuck into the side-view shot). I don't know why the first one is showing up sideways, sorry!

I took these after doing my new favorite workout video- Julianne Hough's "Cardio Ballroom." At first, I didn't think it was going to be much of a workout, and then I heard her say "Okay, so now we are going to do this routine 7 times through without stopping!" I feel pleasantly sore today. The stretching at the beginning and end is also wonderful. My back, which has been extra-sore from leaning over, studying for finals, feels back to normal and my posture feels better. I'll definitely be incorporating this workout a few times a week.

I hope all of your weeks are kicking off well. Let's do this! emoticon

I think the accountability really helps. I actually have posted my weight on my blog for my "Weigh-In Wednesdays"--I was so terrified to do that! But it's actually helped a lot to maintain accountability. I have been thinking I need to take some more pictures... and now you've motivated me!
