Water, water, everywhere

This is my 4th blog entry in as many days. I hadn't planned on coming here to dump out my thoughts every day but I'm finding it a bit cathartic, even when I am just babbling. Tomorrow I will have been on PSMF for 8 weeks. It's been long enough that in real life, there's no reason for me to be talking about it anymore. So I'm glad that I have this place to ramble on.

A water main broke near work today and there was no water in the buildings for a few hours. One of my first concerns was: where is the nearest functioning toilet? Because when a person is drinking 8-10 cups of water every day, it's not possible to make it through half a workday without needing a bio-break. So to obviate the need, I drank less water - and felt parched until I left work.

It took conscious effort at the beginning of this diet, but now I need to drink constantly - my body is *used* to being well hydrated all the time. I drink a glass of water and a glass of protein drink for breakfast, and then bring a 1 litre bottle of water to work which I sip regularly from and empty. After work, I refill that bottle and empty it again before bedtime. Some late nights, I will fill and nearly empty that bottle a third time. Sometimes I imagine my body swishing inside when I move around the house. The water helps a bit to control the hunger, and I think it's helping my skin stay clear and warding off headaches as well. So many benefits from all this water, which I never thought about 8 weeks ago when I was forcing myself to drink more.

Thanks! Just the little motivation I need to remind me of all the reasons I need to drink more and of all the benefits, swishing insides aside.
