ENOUGH! Thin friends on facebook calling themselves "fatty", "chubby", "lardo". Not so thin friends posting memes that, while intended to be cute and funny, suggest they are too fat to wear swimsuits, be ready for summer, wear this or wear that. ENOUGH ENOUGH ENOUGH!

First and foremost, there is nothing shameful about being heavy. Yes, you are more likely less healthy if you are fat. You are also more likely less healthy if you have diabetes, have cancer, anemia, a bad heart or other diseases no one makes fun of you for.

Fat shaming should be a hate crime. Unfortunately, most of us are guilty of this against ourselves. Yes, please do strive to be healthier for your own well being and for longer life, but NO, don't "wait on the weight" to start living. Wear that swimsuit and enjoy yourself at the beach. You are probably a whole lot less noticed then you think you are. Live TODAY, because guess what? You might not get a tomorrow. Stop with the put downs and the names. Stop it. Especially those of you who are of average size. You want to lose a few pounds? Good for you. Do it. But in the meantime, shuddup with the nasty comments about yourself. You are better than that.

LOVE LOVE LOVE yourself. You are pretty freaking awesome, just the way you are. I'm going swimming this summer, bat wing arms, belly apron and flabby, wiggly thighs all on display. Why? Because it is Summer, duh!

Love it! In the past I have caught myself "fat shaming" myself and realized I was making my friends uncomfortable. I really try not to do it anymore. Outloud or in my head!
