Day 169 - Wining Again

Monday, May 18, 2015

It was another spectacular day touring the north shore of the lake - fewer wineries, but some of them had wonderful things to offer. It was a special treat visiting the Featherbed Railroad Bed & Breakfast, where all the rooms are old converted train cars. You have to see it to believe it:

Two wineries were pouring on the grounds of the B&B, and there was a group of women singing bawdy Renaissance songs in period costume. It was so much fun!

We went back along the south shore to hit a couple of the wineries we missed yesterday, and discovered yet another couple that we will definitely visit again. We also bought more wine today than we did yesterday, not that that's a bad thing. We like supporting our local businesses, and this seemed like the right day to do so. In all, the Wine Adventure was a big success, and I'm so glad we were able to take part in it. We visited 20 wineries in total, and could not have done it successfully without my wonderful designated driver. I think I'll keep him.

It's a new week ahead, and I'm feeling optimistic and positive. I may have to focus on some healthy eating to make up for the weekend, but I tried to stay as healthy as I could, and have not felt any ill effects from today.

I hope you're all making good plans for the week ahead - healthy eating, some physical activity, and maybe some meditation and breathing exercises to stay centered.

It doesn't take much to make a difference in your life. Start now.

What a fun weekend you had, good for you! emoticon

I haven't really made any plans, but I am so thrilled that I didn't gain any weight this past week! Yay! I did sort of make health-wise plans, I'm going to be eating slightly less this week, logging it all, and trying super hard to get my exercise done in the morning. I think losing a lb a week would be great, so I want to move toward that more and more.

I hope you have a great week! emoticon
