Day 273 - Italian Village
Sunday, August 30, 2015
We had a wonderful dinner at the Italian Village tonight. Steve really enjoyed himself (maybe a little too much - how much vodka was in that sippy cup, anyway?) and the food was delicious! I didn't eat lunch today (not intentionally, I just forgot to bring it to work this morning), so I was able to enjoy myself without much guilt. We raised a glass to Bob and Marsha, who are still in a coma after 4 weeks, and remembered that it can be just a spit second between safety and hazard. We were very careful driving home (thanks, Mike, for just drinking water so that you could drive safely!). We are so grateful for the friends and warmth that we feel up here.
I had a good day at the office - got a lot done without any distraction, and felt moderately productive.
Tomorrow - we're going to Jeff & Cathlene's rental property for a barbecue with the same crew that we went to the Italian Village. I know the area, and Steve will appreciate the unique views of the lake from that elevation!
Have a great Sunday everyone! Tomorrow is "gratitude" day. I have a lot to be thankful for!!! I hope you all find reasons to be grateful as well.
