I hope you all had a great summer! I am still selling note cards of my photos outdoors at the local market. meeting tourists from all over the world from as far away as Tasmania. Still SLOWLY losing weight and after over 5 years since joining Sparks that is OK with me. Better than gaining.
This summer I did not do anything too exciting this summer, cannot afford to travel except for day bus trips to the countryside. I am going on another one tomorrow with a stop at a dwarf Nigerian goat farm. Can't wait to see the cute little goats and take some photos, buy some fresh goat cheese and maybe goat milk skin products.
The excitement came to me this summer when for several weeks Toronto hosted the Pan Am games and Para Pan Am Games. There were free music concerts every night at City Hall from all the Pan Am countries. One evening I saw fantastic musicians perform from Mexico and Guadelope. Lots of fun!
The gold and bronze medal winners for archery in the ParaPanAM Games, two women in wheelchairs from the US, stopped by my table and I gave them free cards. I live quite near where the athletes' village was so we would see buses go by to events and various athletes walking around.
I was able to attend one of the Pan Am events, Rhythmic Gymnastics, and watched amazingly flexible and strong women compete individually and as a group with ribbons, hoops and clubs. A lot of the Pan Am athletes will be competing in next year's Olympics in Rio.
It was exciting to see the CN Tower fireworks for the opening and closing ceremonies from my condo rooftop patio.
Wishing you success this fall and winter with your healthy eating plans and keep working on those weight loss and exercise goals! If you are in maintenance now - CONGRATS !!!
