Lacking the words

Monday, September 21, 2015

I've been putting this one off.

My partner's mother died last week. It's crap, and there's not much to be said beyond it's very sad.

We're chasing out tails a bit trying to get all the things done that need to be done (normal work and family obligations plus the additional traveling up to her home to help out with all the stuff that a sudden death entails). Nerves are fraying and time is short.

I think he's OK, and I just hope I can be the support he needs. I'm not good at this stuff, and always feel a little useless.

I'm still on track(ish) but other than trying to stick to dieting and getting exercise in this (the blogging/tracking etc.) is on a bit of a hold while the more important stuff is being dealt with.

Back in a bit once the dust has settled.

I think your job is to just love him as much as he can stand.

    Very sorry for your loss.

so sorry to hear of your loss. my uncle is in the final stages of cancer and yesterday home hospice said he only has a couple of days maybe a week left. It is sad to see a loved one suffering. I am not sure which is worse, a sudden death or a prolonged one. I guess we just need to take it one day at a time. emoticon

So sorry to hear bout this. It is very numbing and hard to try to be in a normal routine, get regular things done and still grieve, go through things that he must get done for this. This is your priority now... again, my sympathies..

Very sorry to read about your loss. Best wishes to you and your partner. It must be very difficult, a sudden death has no time for preparations. Thank you for reminding me to call my Mom today and tell her that I love her. Take care.
