Today was my second time back at the gym. I had my fitness assesment and quick personal training session.
I love love love this gym! It's so not intimidating, super close to my house. (on the way home from dropping my kids off at school so no excuses!)
She had me get on the scale and took my body fat percentage. 135 lbs and 31% body fat. :/ She said she would like to see me somewhere in the 24% to 26% whatever that means. I said how I have issues with the scale and that I know I shouldn't go by a number. Not sure where I will end up, but I realize muscle weighs more than fat. My weight could actually go up or stay the same, but I get smaller. Still hard to wrap my brain around that because I view progress by that number going down. I need to stop that way of thinking.
After doing a few machines and walking lunges ( ouch! hate those!) I did some weights and crunches and then jumped on the eliptical for 20 minutes.
Going to shoot for the gym again on Friday. It feels good. Now just need to start eating better. That in next blog....
