Where Does My Joy Come From - 23

Sunday, January 24, 2016

Where does my joy come from today. .... ....the challenge for our team this week is preplanning and pre tracking 3 main meals the evening before AND spending at least 20 minutes per meal eating. My hubby was in stitches about it. Everyone at my house knows I take forever to eat. We earn 5 points per meal if we succeed. I actually set a timer and chewed each bite 4 million times. It does take effort, even for me, to eat that slowly. Great thing is, that my husband, who inhales his food with happy shnarfs, even tried to slow down (yeah, he's a gamer, he loves to win). We all win. .... since we turned my daughter Julia's bedroom into a guest room. We put all books into boxes. I was going to give a lot of them away. Yesterday I decided to take another look into one of the boxes and found 8 books that sound intriguing, plus a copy of Eragon, which everyone in my family read, except for myself. I think I will have no problem meeting my "read at least one book per month" challenge. .....Daughter Julia was able to take her spare burner phone to her weekend trip to Uruguay. That way hubby was able to text back and forth with her. Good, because he is already almost bald. No need to worry the last hairs off his cranium.

This week's challenge is an easy one for me, as I am a slow eater. I take about half an hour to eat. Congrats on meeting the challenge!

Good for you being able to chew and eat slowly! My Mom does the same thing, but I secretly think she does it sometimes to get out of cleaning up afterwards! (-; It is a good habit to have! (-:

I am intrigued by the assortment of books you have read. I am going to check some of them out, as I love historical novels of any age in time. Enjoy your day!
