Where Does My Joy Come From - 26

Where does my joy come from today.....

....I love the friend feed here on Spark. A few times a day I check it with my cell phone and see what my SparkFriends are up to. I like to read their blogs, see what their thoughts are, check what they do this day. Some might need encouragement, or they share a joke. Since I ran out of Blogs to read within my teams, I started looking around. I found this nice team called "Positive Bloggers" that encourages team mates to find the positive in their day. It is a lovely team, so I joined. I guess I don't have to belong to a team to read blogs, I could just read random ones as they pop up, but I am old fashioned. I like to belong somewhere.

.... was able to have a nice dinner with hubby before he left for night shift. I had already prepared double of what I was going to eat. That way he had the chance to say "Ewww, too healthy" and that would mean I already had another meal for another day. He was quite delighted. I made rice with green beans and slivered almonds. And fried onions with ground beef (for his portion). Thus nourished, he sailed off to save some lives in the ICU.

.... I finally decided to throw out my microwave. The joy in that? I don't know yet, but I already feel lighter and healthier. I think the waves invaded my brain. Well, to be honest, the interior was peeling and rusting, so really time to let that one go. I will see how I get around without it, but I had a very happy childhood, and no microwave was ever used. That ought to tell us something ;)

Thanks for stopping by my blog yesterday. Yes, I think me and my girls will enjoy a little friendly competition. Since getting the fitbit I have really gotten a lot more active. I feel 2016 is going to be a great year. I like the pictures of your pets on your page.

I do use a microwave, mostly for warming up food and I do like doing my sweet potatoes in it, but know it's really probably not good to use.

Glad you are joining us on the Positive Blogger's Team.

Enjoy the rest of your Wednesday, I am finally on the right day, lol.

Sounds like a great group to join. Now about that microwave...My children would have a fit if they couldn't just nuke and go. Seriously, thanks for all of your encouraging words dear.

Talk about experimental living - no microwave - emoticon

I couldn't live without my microwave. I steam my veggies and cook my sweet potato in it every night in just minutes!

I like reading my friend feed, too, and hopping around to visit my Spark friends - like you!
I've been living without a microwave for about a year now. It's difficult at times, and I am thinking of buying another one, but am still restraining myself. Sometimes it is worth it when time is a factor. I think my DH misses it more than I do.
Any time you need to read a blog, I invite you to stop by my page. There's a new one every Friday for sure.

Yes life was so simple in my early years back in the 50's and 60's. I would give up all these new gadgets that interfere in everything I do, especially emails and text. With that said, take care, stay out of the ICU and let's just keep on keeping on
