Where Does My Joy Come From 2/5

Saturday, February 06, 2016

Where does my joy come from today. .. .....my brother-in-law Giles went into surgery early this morning to have parts of his lymph nodes removed. It appears that the doctor got the cancerous cells. He is recovering in the ICU. Radiation is the next step. Lots of prayers went out to him. Thank you all for thinking of him! .....both daughters seem so happy with their lives right now. Julia has her best friend back in the US from a year abroad, and he just makes her happy. Sarah got hired for both internships she applied for, and is so excited about the opportunities. So glad she decided to go back for her Bachelor Degree in Graphic Design. .....and Craigy came up with an ingenious solution to help me find my keys (a battle I never seem to be able to win). He put a thingymajig on my keychain that lets me hook it to my purse. The little critter is a kitty cat Sarah crocheted. She didn't like the way it turned out, so I rescued it.

Wonderful news about your BIL, and your family is definitely being blessed. Hope those blessings continue for your BIL as he recovers and heals. Like the idea of hooking something to your keys so they're easier to find in the purse. I think that Murphy's Law says that "whatever a woman is searching for in her purse has sunk to the very bottom, and will always be the last thing she pulls out while looking for it." emoticon

Glad to hear your BIL's surgery went well! I will continue to pray for him. I'm sure you must be so proud of your girls; wonderful to hear they are both doing so well! One of the things we want most in this world is for our kiddos to be happy! (-:

Hearing of others' joy is an inspiration. Sometimes necessary to remember that our joy is all around us, if we would just pay attention...

    Good post.
