Love to learn new nutritional tips

Really enjoying this new journey of eating healthier as do searches and much reading on better choices. Learn new things daily and is fun. Totally eliminated artificial sweeteners. If must have use Stevia or Truvia. Cut out High Fructose Corn Syrup. Often in wheat breads and other things. No margarine. Only butter. Olive oil and No vegetable oil. No corn oil. No canola oil. Beets lower blood pressure. Cut out most sugars. Green tea good

    As a work in progress I am back after a sabbatical of doing my own thing for the most part. Diabetes uncontrolled as have been on insulin since Feb 2016. High enough level of insulin that hungry all the time. knee problems, exercise challenge.

    I use olive oil, butter or coconut oil. Have always eaten healthy, just enough for 2 or 3 people. Since I'm not as active anymore that has caught up with me. I look forward to getting healthy again. I'm just an impatient person! lol

    Such great tips and how interesting that it really is "back to basics"! Our grandparents and great grandparents had no margarine, high fructose corn syrup, etc!

    Hey...Spark People has become my support groups, for you see I am a recovering grease-holic. Yes, it is true if you can "fry it" I can "eat it".

    Seriously moderation is a very important key to being successful in our journey. One day at a time....Look for small victories...Look for non-scale successes.

    Oh by the way...have you ever tried Fried cardboard, don't have much favor but a nice crunch....lol....Live life today.
