Starting over Again!!!

Wednesday, March 23, 2016

I really need to buckle down and stop with this. I have been really good with going to the gym and exercising. I go to the gym every morning and do a different class every day. Those 45 minutes of exercising I feel so good. I just have so much trouble with my eating habits. I do pretty good through the day, but then after dinner if when I crave something sweet and usually indulge into something I shouldn't be eating. I am really trying to get to my goal weight and started last year at this time and I have only lost 11 pounds in a year. It is going so slow with my weight lost. I was taking tamoxifen for breast cancer and just stopped at the end of February, so I am hoping that helps with the weight loss and doing the Spring 5% challenge will help me get this weight off. I just feel like I am losing too slow.

Aren't you glad we are given the grace to start over and over again? I sure am! I'm on about my millionth start over again. But...every day that I get up and try again to make healthier choices is a step in the right direction. The 5% challenge will definitely be a step in the right direction for us too. Hang in there friend! emoticon

I admire that your are trying again. I think your joining the challenge team is an excellent step in the process. We all have setbacks. But not all us continue trying, like you are. And you are having successes with your continued exercise. Now, in the challenge you can build on the successes. emoticon

Classes I do at the gym are Zumba, Body chisel and a class called body Groove, low impact aerobics with light weights.

The good news is that you are down 11 pounds from last year!! You haven't regained it, bonus!! Don't give up! Be sure that you are eating enough during the day, as sometimes when we go too low during the day, we can be more prone to overeating at night!! emoticon
And even better news, congratulations on being finished with Tamoxifen! ( been there, done that!) emoticon

It takes about a month of doing something consistently to make it a habit. I also need to make getting to the gym daily a priority - so I am thrilled the Spring challenge is starting to give me that extra accountability push to get back in the swing of my routine.

What classes at the gym do you most enjoy?

Good for you for not giving up. Good eating habits get easier as time goes on. Everyone is different but what is working for me is using the Spark tracker and tracking every bite I put in my mouth. By staying within their guidelines, I have lost 48 pounds since last August. Sounds like you are doing really good with exercise. Way to go with that. You can do this and you sound dedicated so just keep rocking.

You can do this! Keep the bad stuff out of the house, and shop for snacks that fit into your calorie range. Set yourself up for success! If you really, really want to indulge, make yourself go out for that. emoticon emoticon

Stay committed! I can't have "bad foods" in the house when I'm starting a diet cause I'll cheat for sure.

It usually takes us a few restarts to get our habits under control. Good for you for not giving up!
