Camping and Updates

First, get the crud out of the way. The results of today's weigh-in:

Weight: 166.7 (down 1.2)
BF: 36.3 (down .2)
BW: (up .1)
BMI: 31.4 (down .3)
BONE: 6.5 (same as always)

I absolutely bombed my calorie differential last week, so no clue how this happened.

As of yesterday, we were 60% through the month. I have 58 points. Yes, I am behind. It is due mostly to the fact that I didn't work out for a few days following my chest pain scare last week. I decided to take it easy in case it was a muscular issue, give those muscles a chance to rest. It is still mathematically possible for me to reach my goal this month. I won't be upset if it doesn't happen, though. My body needed a few days off.

Now the fun part: I went camping last weekend with a bunch of Scouts and their families! You guys, it was amazing. The kids spent hours sluicing for gem stones, playing in a creek and took a class on earth sciences. For dinner, we hooked up the propane stove and made hotdogs. We also did smores over the campfire. The next morning I had oatmeal ready to go and another family whipped out breakfast burritos for everyone! Not gonna lie, I ate like a cow at that breakfast, it was soooo good. And desperately wanted after sleeping in the horrible cold all night (turns out that valley gets COLD at night. Our sleeping bags didn't stand a chance. I had on 2 pairs of pants and 2 pairs of socks and was still too cold to sleep most of the night). Between unloading, loading, and just general fun, I got about 20k steps in over the course of the trip. Not bad! And my arms were definitely sore yesterday from hauling all that stuff!

Now I want to go camping again. My husband hates camping, and has never gone with us, so it would probably need to be close by. Does anyone know of a fun camping experience near central North Carolina?

I felt a couple stabs in my chest Saturday night, which was probably from carrying all that stuff. I haven't felt anything since. Fingers crossed that I am able to recover properly!

    You make camping sound fun! However I am far too picky about beds to try sleeping on the ground. Even air mattresses give me backaches.

    I think you lost because you ate a little more and gave yourself a break. Sometimes its good to splurge a little.

    I love North Carolina and have gone gem hunting there myself. Didn't go camping though.
