Training the Mind

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

Sitting here with my back pain trying to think this had to happen for a reason. After about 2 months of no work, boredom and very obvious horrible food intake for at least a month, I realized I’m here to learn about me. Being in solitude has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I never in my life looked inside myself so much as I have now.

This spiritual journey is a very unique one I will say that. I'm reading more, learning things that I never knew and revisiting things I was interested in years ago. I’m seeing my interest in philosophy and psychology. Seeing how sound helps heal and how meditation is a must. Eating things I have always wanted to try like meatless meatballs, which are fantastic! And the best of it all that money isn’t everything. I am broke as hell barely making it, but I am ok. I am somehow surviving on God. Faith. The fact that I am angry got me to see that I cannot lose faith and belief! I believe in so many things and that makes me happy to enjoy those things again.

Going on YouTube and getting daily motivational speeches from random people I never heard of before. Like one from Eric Thomas, just an amazing man! Listening to Jim Carrey and his words of wisdom. Loving the sarcasm, bluntness and mysticism of Sadhguru.

I am loving these days at home too much. I cannot work out physically yet but I am definitely training my mind better. Something I am cherishing!

Training the mind is the best thing for anyone. Knowing that you come first making sure you are important to yourself in order to be healthy, that’s something I always heard about, knew and never practiced. If you can just love your own space and not worry about others, if you could see how much better you would feel by just turning that negative feeling into something great. Using that to fuel your body from within. How much stronger you will be. I am so ready to be able to work out but I know my mind will be in a more peaceful and resilient place when I am able to. In order for anyone to live the rest of their lives in harmony and health, it starts with in the mind!
