For Mother's Day my daughter thought it was time for me to go back to rock climbing. My shoulder has gotten a little better and I was starting to think that maybe I could push a bit more.
The twins had so much fun! They tried climbing and had a blast tumbling and giggling on the mats under the bouldering wall. My first try I made it only half way up the wall before my shoulder gave out, I rested and tried again and made it up almost to the top but just couldn't make it all the way. I ended up doing the starter wall just so I could say I got to the top of least one. BUT it's been 3 months since I've been able to do anything like this and it felt so great to be at least trying. When I get back from Disneyland I'll start going weekly again to rebuild the muscles.
I also got out for a trail run Friday, I REALLY needed that run. I did a 7K run and brought my average time from just over 11min/KM to just over 9. It was a beautiful day and the sun on the water was beautiful. The sky was an incredible deep blue, what a wonderful way to destress.
Yesterday we set up at a new market with our cookies and sold twice as many as I had anticipated. It was so cool to have people come up and let us know they came down just to get the cookies. I had to send my husband home at one point to go pick some of the ones for today's market and then I baked more last night. When I come back from vacation we start in a third Farmers Market, I'm really excited about that. Plus we've been invited to be part of a couple of smaller craft fairs and a huge festival. Baking the cookies, baking the cookies, baking the cookies....
Today I came up with a new Peanut Butter one. I have a chewy PB recipe that I sell a lot of and I've added honey roasted peanuts to the top of one and a spicy chilli lime one to the other. I'll be introducing them at the next Farmers Market. I am having so much fun doing this but will be glad when I can just bake and not have to keep my day job as well. I really didn't expect the cookies to grow as fast as they are.
Two more days till Disneyland!!
