Sure, I can do that and that....and that

Thursday, May 19, 2016

Last night I joined the marketing committee for the local farmer's market. It's a good group of people and they needed help with their social media marketing so I took it on. I'm looking forward to promoting the market and seeing it grow. More growth for them means more customers for me so win win. They asked if I could teach a seminar to the vendors on social media and working as a team and my reply was, "Sure, just tell me when and I'll be there. I'm already working 7 days a week so adding one more thing really doesn't matter."

I'm feeling really refreshed now that I'm home and for some reason don't feel as busy which is weird seeing that work is crazy and then I'm baking 6 hours. I've put up a calendar so that I can make sure I'm slotting in rock climbing, running and down time. I'm loving growing my business through and it doesn't feel like work to me. Tonight is rock climbing night, woot! Tomorrow night we start in a new Farmer's Market which puts in an event Friday - Sunday now, exciting!

Weight has turned around, I am down 2 pounds. Went to Disneyland and lost weight, who knew that could be done! That is just icing on the cake (hmmm...tomato on the mozzarella?) Being healthy and enjoying life is such an incredible feeling that the actual losing weight has become second banana. (Oh look, another food reference) I still want to lose another 45 pounds and will do it but that doesn't seem to be what I celebrate any more. Being able to be on my feet all day and not get swollen ankles, having the energy to work two jobs and volunteer my time, waking up feeling good, not getting acid reflux, pushing myself out of my comfort zones. I look forward to challenges and know that all of the things I do will result in the a lower weight and a healthier BMI and of course the flip side to that pancake (oh come on, I had to, I was on a roll. Get it..roll...HA HA HA) is that I get to enjoy even more things.

When I started this journey I just wanted to lose weight, then I wanted to be healthier. Then I wanted to be more active. I never expected so much extra energy and a new lease on life.

On a completely different note I'm happy to report that they caught the person that broke into my daughter's home/car and they recovered almost everything that was stolen including her fiance's ipod which was so important to her; loaded with all his favourite music. His ashes unfortunately they just tossed out but she has more so it's all good.

Wow, look at everything you're accomplishing! That's just amazing. That's great that being healthy and active and enjoying life have taken priority over the numbers on the scale. Good job fitting exercise and rest time into that very busy schedule! That's important but not always easy to do!

So sorry to hear of your daughter's break in and the ashes. Some people can be so heartless...

Is your market still going to be on 2nd? Or is there a new venue now?

Did I miss something? Stolen ashes??

I had no idea your daughters place was broken into. What an outrage that they would just throw away the precious ashes. I'm so thankful that she has those beautiful girls, a living part of him that she can love on every day.

WOW! You've always got a ton going on but manage it beautifully!

Glad to hear about your daughter's belongings (and her fiancee's) being returned, but sorry about the ashes.

Boy, for sure I have to say that my switch has switched from weight loss to being healthy. That is the utmost important thing, so I too can do as I need to do . . . and maybe even more!

    You're awesome.

OMG . . . I cannot believe someone would steal those precious ashes. That is totally disgusting! But so happy your DD has more.

HUGS sweetie. You brightened my day reading your blog.
