Scary Ten-pound Gain

Well I promised myself I would get back to tracking calories if I gained even 5 pounds. That really wasn't scary enough, I had to gain back 10 in order to get serious. So here I am, ready to have fun getting fit. I really need to lose at least 40 pounds to be satisfied, but I'm going to start with a goal of 20. I would still feel very good at that point.
Of course step one is to limit my evening wine to two glasses. I still battle the 3rd glass of wine demon that turns me into a carbohydrate glutton. ( Bread and butter, crackers and cheese, cans of nuts....etc.) You get the picture, right?
Last night I curbed it with a cup of herbal tea, so I may stick to that as an alternative. Also I will stop having seconds at dinner. I'm really quite satisfied with the first helping, I've just allowed myself to go back for seconds just because. That's the reason really, "just because".
Ready, set, go.....
