Month 1 results on the 4HB slow carb diet

I started the slow-carb diet on 4/20 and I've been using the Sparkpeople tools to record most of my meals & using the blog to keep a photo journal of the meals.

This is a summary of what I've done over the past 5 weeks:

6 days per week of protein, legumes, and veggies only (no dairy, no sugar, no fruits, no complex carbs)
1 day per week (usually Saturday aka "Faturday") of "gluttonous enjoyment" where anything goes.

The results:

Beginning weight: 175.6, fat: 36.3
Ending weight: 169.4, fat: 34.8

I also used a tape measure. I've lost 3" off the waist, 2" off the hips, and 3.5" tights.

While the grand total of 6.2 lbs is not impressive on its own, I'm very satisfied with the lost of fat and inches.

Achieving these results without appetite suppressants or exercise has given me the confidence I lost through so many past failed attempts at weight loss.

I had NEVER been able to stick to any program for this long. I believe that not been constantly hungry + the promise of "Faturdays" made the difference this time around.

Today I started a 10-day detox on which I will swap eggs, meat, and tofu for fish. I'll be adding some light kettle bells training as well.
