had the celebration of life for my Mom at her house and about 125 people showed their support, and recounted stories, we (the family) took a photo with her red hat paraphernalia on. there were some tears that day but we now have closure

since then I have been staying busy with friends, even went to a hot springs spa

yes I'm in there doing water aerobics

these two made the spa day a real joy, since I hadn't seen either of them in about a year or more. this place was good to rejuvenate the body and soul. there were water features all over with relaxing sounds of dripping water, I got a nap in too, ponds with turtles and koi

and flowers and tropical atmosphere

my red hatters had a BBQ and I got a belated Birthday card

and red hatters had a horse racing party where we showed off the hats we had made

and then we ran our horses by rolling dice to advance around the track/table

then went to a lunch to help support my ex coworker (I'm retired, she's not) she has been through a lot, she has 2 not 1 but 2 autistic children and she includes them in many activities to be as normal as any teenagers, and a few months ago her husband had a stroke and is still hospitalized, so she has a lot on her plate and we took her out to lunch as well as some other coworkers (we paid for her lunch)

this last one has me and a friend who has battled 3 different cancers what a trooper
also went to the Bowers museum to see their mummies of the world exhibit before it closes, couldn't take pics of the mummies but could of their other exhibits, here is a sampling

and went to an English pub for lunch

this is what a traditional English breakfast looks like
in addition to that I have been trying to survive the over 100 degree temps we have been having and staying out of the smoke and smog air, too many fires and the smoke all blows our direction. I also saw Madam Butterfly, Oklahoma, 9 To 5, and last night the Redlands Bowl closed it's season with a symphonic orchestra playing Stravinsky, Lalo, Rimsky-Korsakov and ended with Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture with a fireworks display it was tremendous. Tonight I'm going to Hollywood to the Roxy to see some comedians perform, and tomorrow I'm going to a group dinner to eat Basque food
