Clothes again

Tuesday, August 23, 2016

So how do you decide what to keep and what to give away when you have GI issues and there is no one size that always fits. Today I went through the clothes that have been sitting in the pile ready to go to good will, pulled out a couple of things that are for those days, like the past few, when I am so bloated I feel like things are a little snug. Ugh GI issues are not fun, I can literally increase my weight size by 3-4" after I eat (I have measured when I am wearing a belt and have to let it out).

Anyway, I mulled my decision of what should go and what should stay, was I giving myself the leeway to 'gain weight' and I don't really think this is the case. I don't want to be uncomfortable and I put these clothes back in the closet under a pair of jean shorts that I can fit into but again based on the day are not comfortable if I sit. I also kept a pair of really baggy shorts, you know the ones where you do the' I wore these a year ago and now look', I figure that gives me a perspective of where I was, where I am now and who knows where I will be in the future.

I have clothes like that just from gaining and losing . I try to buy a size that will balloon out and recede with all of it. LOL Plus a few just in case I EVER keep it off. Oh what a wonderful day that will be. Thanks fro your blog. Sandy

When I clean out my closet I look for clothes that I have not worn in over a month. Then I put them in a suitcase and pit them under my bed. Very often I completely forget about them until the day comes (usually several months later) when I open the suitcase. Sometimes I feel like I found a treasure trove of old, familiar and still good clothes. But more often than not I realize that the clothes are not fro me anymore. I am waiting for the day when I get rid of clothes because they are too big for me (not too small!)

I agree with 1crazydog, eventually, you'll know the right time to part ways. I myself can't wait for that day, but I'm also glad I still have a few baggies for them days I do need them! LOL Sorry too for the GI thingy. :(

Looking forward to starting the challenge with ya! We're gonna do awesome, I just know it! :)

Eventually you'll be ready to part with the clothes that don't fit. As for the GI issues, so sorry you have to deal w/that. It's difficult. HUGS
