Spyders are Connected!!

Spiders are connected to our world through their intricate webs!!!! Some can be irritating as you walk into one!! LOL!! I HATE that feeling of not being able to get the tickly, sticky web off my face!!
Some build their elaborate trap webs in the grass & you can only see the little "funnels" when the dew is on the grass in early morning!!!! I have repeatedly tried to take a picture of them, but they never show up in the pic.....no matter how easy they are to see!!!! Weird!!!!
Arachne, of Greek mythology, was turned into a spider for being a better weaver than Athena. Navajo Grandmother Spider was said to create the entire world from her silk. We must remember that for all its beauty, the web costs the spider in energy & protein to make the silk itself ~ this is a reminder that to create anything, no matter how marvelous, there is an investment that must be made, & we shouldn't take that for granted. Abandoned webs are said to have creative energies about them!!
Spider webs remind me that everything in our world is connected in some way!! Even the smallest breeze affects the blades of grass or the leaves....or us!!!! In order for the tree to flourish, the roots must be strong to hold it upright & they must absorb the water & nutrients to feed the tree!! Then the sun hitting the leaves work with the chlorophyll in the leaves & the tree gives off oxygen.....our lives depend on that oxygen!!!! I am awestruck by the multitude of connections we have with each other & nature & our World as a whole!!!! We can NEVER doubt that we have affected someone or something by our very existence.....let alone what we purposely do during our life!!!! I was a nurse & I remember individual patients that I know I made a significant difference in their lives & the lives of their family & who knows what ripple effect that had!!!!
One Sunday at Church, Jim & I were discussing the fact that we didn't feel we related well to the young people in the Church!! That they pretty much ignored anything we had to say!! One of the young people overheard us & 2 Sundays later the young people did a "Thank You" tribute to the Seniors & adults in the Church!! They showed us just how much we affected them & their lives!!!! It was humbling & amazing!!!!
So many times we think no one even knows we exist, but that is SO not true!!!! Just opening a door for someone, a kind word, a hello, any small interaction can have a HUGE effect in that person's life!!!! Just imagine how many peoples' live can be affected by what we say on here!!!! I am reminded of the old adage.....Be careful of your words, you never know who is listening!!!!
