By the sea

As it turned out I had a call about signing legal documents and thought I could fit that in today as next week is going to be busy. This meant I would miss my planned walk by the sea. So I made a commitment to do it after work in the early evening.

The glorious spring day had turned back to a wintery gusty one by the time I got to the sea. Nevertheless I walked for an hour and fifteen.

It was great to get out and be active. There were quite a few people doing the same as well as many people enjoying Friday evening meals at the restaurants I walked past.

The last moments of the setting sun blazed over the foaming waves highlighting them with momentary sheen. The kite surfers were speeding silhouettes with only the vibrant colours of their kites apparent from the shore. The clouds near the sun were edged with gold. As I took in these details I was blasted by the cold southerly wind and on returning to the car I was pleased to finally reach a still haven.

So today I achieved just under 14000 steps!
I also noted that I now walk faster, don't complain to myself or others and feel stronger as i move.

    I wish I had been with you. I love water; we have the St Lawrence River, here in Quebec. It's more windy by the water though but t's an every changing scenery!
