Maintaining

At this stage I am going to maintain my weight for several weeks.

Then I plan to start my eating program again and do another cycle of weight loss.

There are two main reasons for this.

Firstly, this will allow my body to get accustomed to my new weight.

Secondly, this will be an opportunity to learn to eat for weight maintenance.

The foods I will eat will continue to be foods that produce no adverse reactions.

I am looking forward to the break from the strictness and I will be happier to resume the eating program after this maintenance break.

    I am also a "lifestyle" proponent. I would find it hard to go back and forth because that sounds more like dieting, which for me has proven not to work. Just my two cents because I know we all have to find what works for each of us. But I also believe we should challenge each other to think hard about our decisions. I hope that's ok! emoticon

    I wonder what's the point of this?
    If you eat strictly and then let go of it, are you not going to gain weight?
    And why would be the reason to eat strictly for a cycle? Isn't it about lifestyle and not burst of "diet" throughout the year?
    Just a question!
